Renae Su’s artwork is often based on narratives, which are inspired by nature, animals, and her personal relationships. She experiences the process of making art as essential to her well being and inseparable from her life.

 

Renae grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. She attended Nova Scotia Collage of Art and Design in Canada, where she acquired her BFA. She continued her studies in the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, USA, and obtained her MFA in illustration. She was trained to paint with traditional medium, and she gradually transitioned to digital painting.

 

Renae has worked as a concept artist in several game development companies. Most notably, at Rnova Studio she was the lead artist for the game Lyrica, which won Best Meaningful Play in Mobile Games Awards SEA and Best Mobile Game in Tencent GAD Game Award. At IGG (I Got Games) she was an art producer where she managed and monitored their art team.
