Renae Su’s artwork is often based on narratives, which are inspired by nature, animals, and her personal relationships. She experiences the process of making art as essential to her well being and inseparable from her life.

 

Renae Su grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. She earned her BFA from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Canada and her MFA in illustration from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, USA. Initially trained in traditional painting, she later transitioned to digital art.

 

Renae has worked as a concept artist in several game development companies. Most notably, at Rnova Studio she was the lead artist for the game Lyrica, which won Best Meaningful Play in Mobile Games Awards SEA and Best Mobile Game in Tencent GAD Game Award. At IGG (I Got Games) she was an art producer where she managed and monitored their art team.
